Canada is one of the best places to build hours towards a JAA license with our quality instruction and favourable exchange rate. We invite you to compare our rates at Canflight with other flight schools in Europe and the U.K. to see just how substantial the savings are. In many cases, students can offset the cost of their flight to Canada and their accommodations in their first week of flight training alone.
In Canada, JAA students can obtain high quality private pilot training for under 3000 pounds or 4500 Euros. With discount airfares to Toronto as low as 250 pounds or 375 Euros, it makes good economic sense to come here for training. A visa is not required as this training can be completed in under six months. There is a conversion process once students return to the U.K., but we can assure you that our high standards at Canflight will give you a strong foundation to pass your JAA flight test. (see our FAQ page for more information)
If you are coming to Canada for the purpose of time building, a license conversion is not required. In Canada, there is a simplified process for allowing students to use their foreign pilots license for the purpose of time building/flight training called a foreign license validation. The benefit of a foreign license validation is that students can fly in Canada and the United States with their foreign license for up to one year without having to undergo a formal conversion process.
**a visa is also not required for students staying in Canada less than 6 months
